Our Story

Trail Dog Tools was built on two simple things: a love for the outdoors and the loyalty of a good dog. 

Trail Dog Tools is a family-built father and son company based in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Our tools are shaped to reflect the place we grew up in. A place shaped by rugged coastlines, dense forests, harsh weather, and hard working people. The trails, landscapes, and communities that surround us influence everything we do. It is grounded in the values we grew up with: hard work, honesty, and pride in doing things right. Every tool is designed with the same mindset- to be dependable, durable, and ready to work when the trail calls. 

Along the way, there were always dogs by our side- loyal companions on hikes, trail days, and long evenings spent outside.Their loyalty, strength, and endless energy became the inspiration behind our brand. That's why every tool we make is named after a dog from our lives- past and present- each one representing the same qualities we building into our tools: reliability, toughness, and loyalty.
